Visiting Alice

It was our turn this weekend to go down to Sydney and visit Alice. We were up early Sunday morning ready to catch the bus then a train into Sydney. Sunday is a good day to travel on public transport, for $2.50 you can go anywhere in New South Wales on the bus, train or ferry.

Had a very pleasant journey and arrived at Alice’s place mid morning. As you can imagine she had a list of jobs lined up for us with the promise that she would feed us if we got them all done. She is so good to us. After a lunch in the local watering hole, a short walk away, we carried on walking down to the coastal path along which the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition was on display. There were some very intriguing pieces of artwork along a 2km stretch of the coastal path from Coogee to Bondi. We then continued our walk wending our way back to Alice’s where she informed us that we had walked almost 12km in total.

We stayed over with Alice, saw her off to work on Monday morning and then spent the day wandering around Central Quay, the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens before catching our train back home.
