Market and Pelicans

Today is market day at Shelly Beach, a craft and produce market held once a month. Plenty of artisan stalls, local produce and food for sale. Sue was at work so an ideal place for Jo and Chip to spend a few hours. Then it was off to the fish shop to choose something to have on the BBQ on Sunday. Two good sized snapper took our fancy along with a kilo of Pacific prawns.

Time for a quick coffee at home and the on to The Entrance to meet Sue from work. We then had a wander around, grabbed a spot of lunch and then over to watch the daily “feeding the pelicans”, a very popular tourist event that always attracts plenty of onlookers. The local fish merchant supplies the fish for the daily feeding.

This evening¬†was the return match of the Wallabies and the All Blacks, so it was feet up in front of the ‘tele’ with a slab of beer and some home made pizzas.
