Today we volunteered to do a session manning the stand for our permaculture society at the Wyong Orchid show. This show is one of the events which is part of the Wyongshire spring festival which is taking place over this coming week.
The majority of the orchids on display were predominately native to Australia, and the perfume from them was fantastic.
The show inspired us to go home and sort out some of the orchids we have in our garden, the ones that we have rescued out of the flower beds and have been in a heap in the corner all winter but have continued to grow and are now in flower.
One of our orchids after a little TLC. Still needs a little work to be a show winner.
