October in the Garden

Spring is well under way and the temperature is starting to rise, today we had a balmy 26 Celsius.

The garden is now starting to unveil some hidden gems with plants bursting into flower with some stunning blooms. We have amaryllis and clivia which are the stars at the moment along with many others we have yet to identify.

We have also met a new visitor to the garden, a blue tongued lizard. It is about a foot long and lays bathing in the sun with its blue tongue flicking in and out on the look out for a tasty meal.  They are good to have in the garden as they eat the slugs, snails and and other unwelcome insects.
